This has greatly improved the standard of play even in the short time we have been training with full kit. Peter Mundy, who is also the President of the European Lacrosse Federation, has helped many aspiring Lacrosse clubs around Europe ensuring that we not only have equipment to play with but competitors to play against. Once again Thank you Centurions. |

...Men's Lacrosse at Hertfordshire!
During 2004 a hive of activity saw the Hertfordshire Lacrosse Team innundated with guys all eager to play the mens version of the sport. 6 months later all of ours players had first team experience in conjunction with the Welwyn Warriors. This partnership was made possible thanks to our coach and Welwyn Warriors Founder and Captain Dave Coldwell. The passion for the sport both on and off the field has ensured that we have a dedicated squad ready for National competition. In September 2005 the comets Lacrosse Team start playing in the Fourth Division of the South of England Men's Lacrosse League (SEMLA). A Mid table finish was a fantastic way to end our first year. A surge of new teams in SEMLA resulted in the division being split, Comets went down. 2006 came round and we fought hard to get back up the ranks, by the Christmas break we were sitting mid table once again. This wasn't where we wanted to be. We had to give East Grinstead a bye in the last game of the year and our moral was at an all time low as a result. Some good coaching and positive captaincy started 2007 off with a win. One that didn't let up for the rest of the season. The result - Comets gained promotion to the East 1 league! If you want to be part of one of the most dynamic teams at UH feel free to join us, we have a 2nd team starting in September 2007 and so we can guarantee every potential new player a place in the squad, see us Freshers Fair September 2007 or contact us by email.
