Lacrosse at Hertfordshire
2006 saw one of our most successful seasons so far, having won more games this season than the other seasons combined [all 2 of them :-) ] As one of six national teams competing in the Midlands South East Mixed Lacrosse League the Comets met fierce competition since our inaugural season, with competitors including Oxford, Oxford Brookes and Cambridge to name but a few. Newcomers Brighton are a good friendly bunch and have brought a much needed positive vibe to the league. After an early surprise win over a fresh faced Cambridge team the squad did well and really worked together. Despite a poor performance on paper the team has come along enormously during their first two seasons. The mixed team has been such a positive influence on the the club that we are now in a position to offer (in conjunction with our sister club Welwyn Warriors) a Womens team and a Mens development team starting in September 2007.
